Surgery
Macy has been in pain due to her birthmark ulcerating. Her pediatric specialist/surgeon, Dr. Burns, explained that ulceration occurs when the birthmark grows more rapidly than the skin can expand. He recommended that it be surgically removed. So, our sweet baby girl will have surgery on January 2 at Children's Hospital. It would be an understatement to say we are just a little nervous about her undergoing surgery, but Dr. Burns assures us that she will be just fine. We were given a prescription cream to put on the ulceration, and will continue giving her Tylenol as needed for pain. Poor baby girl.

Awww, I know how scary that is! Baby girl will be all fixed up though and will be in my prayers on Jan 2nd!
I cannot imagine how scary the thought of surgery must be, but truly it sounds like the best possible option for Macy and she won't have to have any more discomfort from the birthmark. I will definitely keep you guys in my prayers for a safe surgery and quick recovery! Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
I didn't even know she had a birthmark that was causing her problems, I am so sorry to hear that! She will be in great hands at Childrens, Aiden had to go down there a few times and they are wonderful. I will keep you all in prayer.
Oh sweet girl - I'm so sorry she is having to go through this (and you and Richard, too). But it will be worth it when the pain subsides and she feels better. Let us know if you need any help with Tucker while she is recovering - I'm telling you, Banana (!!) would love to have him over!
Sweet girl will be in great hands. Dr. Burns go to church with us and I think he is just an incredible guy! We'll be praying.

I'm the friend to Wendy (Rhoades) Quenzer and her family. And I was born 2? years ago with a Birth Defect called , " Spina Bifida " . I've had oh, I think almost 30 surgeries from head to rear end there at Childrens Medical Center in Dallas , TX . My family and I also use to live in Rowlett , TX since Kendergarden before moving to East , TX 3 yrs. ago.
