9 Months Old

Macy is 9 months old today! We went to Dr. Sue this morning for her 9 month check-up. Everything looks great, and best of all, no torturous shots this time around!
Macy's Stats:
length: 29.5 in- 95%
weight: 17.4 lbs- 25%
head: 17.5- 50%

Lately, it seems we've all been commenting about how tall Macy is, and we were right. Looking back at Tucker's 9 month measurements, she is 2.5 inches taller than he was at 9 months, although, he weighed 2 lbs more than she does. That makes sense, considering Tucker didn't start crawling until nearly 8.5 months old, and Macy has been mobile for almost 2 months. She is a crawling machine! And as the pediatrician explained, her lower weight is likely due to the exercise she is getting from all that crawling.

Macy cannot get enough of food lately. She makes a bee line to any snacks that Tucker may have, and gobbles up Cheerios like they are going out of style. While our Macy Girl is total sweetness, we are beginning to see glimpses of a temper. She especially gets angry when she runs out of Cheerios. She slaps her highchair tray and screams until she gets some more. It's really quite cute!

Still no teeth, and the pediatrician didn't feel any beneath the gums. I guess Macy will be late on getting teeth, just like her big bro. And speaking of big brother, he just loves her to pieces. I am amazed at how well he has done with her. They are playing together more and more, and Tucker is already the protective big brother. I just can't even describe how sweet it is to watch them interact.
