I'm in mourning.
Over the weekend, we rid our house of quite a bit of the baby gear that's been such a huge part of our lives. Some of the essentials, like the swing, stroller system, etc. I guess that means no more babies for us, or at least not for several years. Richard would like a third, but I'm unsure. I feel as though we are already blessed with two healthy children, and getting here has been a bit of a rough road. Might I also mention how BUSY life is with two little ones! I can't even imagine adding a third to the mix. We may reconsider once Tucker is at least in Kindergarten. If we were guaranteed to have another girl, I'd be onboard. Kidding, of course. I love my Tuck, but it's so much fun dressing and accessorizing a girl. :)
I've also been purging the closets of baby clothes. I held onto a lot of Tucker's clothes until we found out we were having a girl. Now I'm even getting rid of a lot of Macy's clothing. I'm holding onto outfits that hold sentimental value, but everything else is going. If we are blessed with another baby in a few years, I'll have to shop, shop, shop for all new stuff. I guess that isn't such a bad thought though! I know it's silly, but I'm genuinely upset about all of this baby stuff leaving my hands. I just can't justify holding onto it all when it's not being used. Who knew watching your children grow would be so bittersweet?
Okay, pity party over.

Misty, it is hard to get rid of the baby stuff, however, every step of the journey just gets better and better! I cherish every single moment with Clay and it is so wonderful watching him grow into such an amazing young man! Just think of all of the wonderful times ahead with your beautiful children!
Way to go on TAKS, by the way!!!
Wait!! Are you selling baby clothes?? Once I find out the sex I might be interested in buying some from you!! Can you wait 5 more weeks?? :) I love your taste!!
I'm not due until November, so that's the complete opposite time of year. :( Maybe that wouldn't work out for sizes. But things like bows, etc. don't matter right? If you're planning to get rid of any of that stuff- I'd defintiely be interested-- of course IF I have a daughter! LOL!! :) wendyquenzer@yahoo.com
I totally can relate....we NEED to get rid of some of the stuff we have now, but I can't think to part with anything yet. At least not until after we find out if we will be having a boy or a girl. If it's a girl, then we will likely get rid of a bunch of Hudson's stuff and will just replace again later if we do have more than 2 kiddos. It's really hard to think of parting with a lot of it though. :(
I totally understand your feelings on this post! I will never forget when I cleaned out Savannah's newborn to 9 months clothes/pajamas, etc. I boxed everything up and it literally made me feel sick to my stomach! I know that sounds crazy but it REALLY upset me! NOW - I run through her room with garbage bags!!! When she isn't home, of course!!
I'm looking for a full size swing, do you already get rid of all this stuff? :)
I'm sure it is hard to "admit" they aren't babies anymore. Of course, our house is just filling up with baby stuff- I still can't imagine using it all, let alone the getting rid of it stage. If you are getting rid of girly stuff, let me know- shipping here is the same price (and I'd pay). You have the CUTEST hairbows on Macy- I NEED some of those!!
