Richard did really well with the little tots, especially considering they are only 3 and have short attention spans! It was exhausting, but he had fun! At the end of practice he commented, "That was a lot harder than I imagined it to be!" Did he really think coaching 3 year olds would be a piece of cake???!!! :)
As practice was beginning, Richard asked for all the players and their parents to gather around. Next thing you know, Tucker takes off running across the soccer field to the playground where some of the teammates' older siblings were busy playing. Once I reached him at the playground, I demanded he return to the soccer field. Exasperated, he explained, "But Mama, these kids are supposed to be on the soccer field listening to my Dada. Practice is starting!" Ha, I guess he thought he was helping by trying to round everyone up!
Three year olds in shinguards, soccer socks, and cleats is soooo cute! I can't wait until the first game when they are all decked out in their uniforms. The team name and colors were decided on last night...the Gators will be sporting green & black. Soccer updates coming once the games begin mid September!
Lined up, sitting on their soccer ball listening to Coach.
