The State Fair of Texas 2010

Our visit to the State Fair of Texas this year was so fun! We have been every year since Tucker was born. This year was especially enjoyable because Macy was old enough to enjoy it too! We always focus on the children's activities, and of course we can't pass up a Fletcher's Corny Dog. Momo joined us again this year, but we missed Papaw!
Our first stop was the children's farm- Tucker and Macy fed chickens, milked a cow, planted veggies, took their supplies on a tractor, and picked out a treat in the general store with the money they earned 'working' on the farm. They had so much fun!
Next up was the petting zoo. Macy was extremely interested in feeding the goats and wanted to pet every single animal! She would have climbed into the animals' living space had we turned our back on her! As you'll see in the photos, there was a grumpy camel. She must have stood there staring at Grumpy for a good 10 minutes, talking to him and sticking her hand through the fence to pet him. It was so cute. Tucker and his daddy enjoyed feeding all sorts of animals too. These kids are so curious and quick, we normally have to split up and stick with our assigned child! For that reason, I didn't get as many pics of Tucker with the animals.
We stopped to eat corny dogs and other fatty fried foods, then our last stop was the Midway! Tucker and Macy rode three rides together. As the photos show, they were in seventh heaven! What a wonderful day of memories.
