Last night something amazing happened.

Tucker fell asleep at 5:30pm while eating dinner in his high chair. I figured he was exhausted, so I let him be. I didn't think he'd sleep there long, but after an hour had passed, I put him to bed. He woke up briefly, looked around the room, and went back to sleep. I was expecting him to wake up after a while, which I wasn't looking forward to because then he would be up all night after taking such a late snooze. He didn't. He continued to sleep until 7:30am this morning. I couldn't believe it. I kept checking to make sure he was still breathing.

Macy was unusually fussy and nothing I was doing calmed her down, so I decided to swaddle her to see if that helped. It did the trick. Within 5 mintues she was asleep. And she slept until midnight, woke up for a feeding, then went back down until 7:00am.

So what does one do when the husband is working late and the babies are in bed by 7:00pm? I wish I could say that I got a great deal accomplished while they were sleeping- that I was able to catch up on some reading, or that I finally watched the many Tivo'd episodes of So You Think You Can Dance, Desperate Housewives, or Brothers and Sisters, but I didn't. I slept along with them. Wonderful slumber. Oh, how I've missed you. :)

Here are some new photos of little Miss Macy.
