Welcome, Fall

I welcome fall wholeheartedly, as it's my favorite of seasons. Not only does it mean cooler weather, but so many other noteworthy things: football season, season premieres, Halloween, pumpkin scented candles, Thanksgiving, beautifully colored trees, Starbucks Pumpkin Spice latte, and the State Fair of Texas!

And I'm especially thrilled that Richard and I won't have to spend hours among hours this year raking leaves, since all we have to speak of now are dinky baby trees. I spent the summer wishing for the shade of large trees, but I doubt I'll be missing them again until next summer rolls around!

With the excitement of fall dancing around in my head, I headed to Hobby Lobby and bought autumn pretties to decorate the outside of the house. I even got all crafty and made fall wreaths for my parents and us, with Tucker's help, of course! He helped by dumping all the floral wire on the floor, kept trying to steal my floral shears, and placed all of the flowers he could sneak off with on Daddy's head. He was quite frustrated that I wouldn't let him actually help, and I was growing even more frustrated that he kept swiping my stuff! "Swiper, no swiping!" You know, just some of the chaos that goes on in the Pierce household! After cleaning up our MESS, we presented Momo and Papaw with their wreath. Tucker was incredibly excited, and he insisted that we make cousin Isabel and cousin Clay wreaths to put on their door, too. What generosity!

WELCOME, fall!
