Tuckerisms:
(Might I note, that I stole this idea from Meg, who frequently posts Shelbyisms about her Shelby girl. Thanks for the idea, Meg)!
T: Fly me again, Mama! Do it again!
Me: My arms are too tired.
T: But, Mama, you have strong muscles. You can do it again. You CAN.
Me: Okay, baby. One more time.
T: Yay! But I'm not a baby, member (remember)?!?? I'm a BIG BOY.
While we were at a restaurant recently, our server asked Tucker how old he was. He quickly replied, "I'm two and a half. I'm a big boy." He is all about letting everyone know that he is a big boy. Now if we can only get him potty trained and wearing big boy underpants!
Tucker wants a Curious George 3rd birthday party, and keeps reminding us that he needs a Curious George bounce house and a birthday cake with blue, pink, and purple icing. He is a man of particular taste, I tell you! Luckily, I've actually seen a Curious George bounce house advertised in a local magazine, so I better start looking now to reserve it. He has also requested that Richard dress up as the Man in the Yellow Hat, and that I be Curious George. Imagine that.
Another common phrase of Tucker's is, "I can do it ALLLL by my-self." This is especially used in regards to brushing his teeth. We go through a tube of infant/toddler toothpaste every couple of weeks because he insists on squeezing, re-squeezing, and re-squeezing yet again, the toothpaste onto his toothbrush. Hey, I'm thrilled that he is actually into brushing his teeth these days. It's much better than the holding-him-down-as-he-screams-while-we-brush-his-teeth like we used to do!
Tucker starts a 2 day a week preschool program tomorrow. He had been wait-listed at three different places since July. I was beyond thrilled when I got notification that two of the schools had an opening! So we went last week to tour both places, and I must say, I have a great feeling about the program we chose. Tucker was excited the minute I mentioned him starting school, and he has been asking me about it daily ever since. So prepare yourself for some pics of him on his first day of preschool!
And for a totally random funny story of the day, today Richard bought two McDonald's HappyMeal Madagascar toys on Ebay for $13.00. You see, Tucker fell in love with these toys after getting one in a HappyMeal. And I mean, fell.in.love. He carries them around everywhere, and even sleeps with them. Ever since then, we had been checking McDonald's almost daily for the toys to complete the set. We even discovered that McDonald's will sell the toys alone for $1.89. To our dismay, McDonald's stopped carrying the Madagascar toys while we were still missing 4 of the characters! So Richard thought he was doing a clever thing by buying two of the missing pieces to the set on Ebay. Little did he know, that I would score the entire display set, all 8 characters, for $14.99! I simply asked the McDonald's manager if they had the display set in the back, and if so, could I purchase it. Richard about died when he spotted me carrying the huge display board full of every Madagascar toy! I am Mama. Hear me roar! Ha, I think I've had too much caffeine today. :)

Okay, THIS is hilarious. Jack loves his toooo. I thought they were great happy meal toys.BUT, after a while, I had to turn the sound off!!!
Ha! We could have given you ours!! I would have been happy to part with them. Although, it is super cute to hear Jack say "I like to move it, move it!"
Oh my goodness, yes you are a mama!!! How funny! I love that story. And I would give ten bucks to see you carrying that big display! hee hee
I just love Tuckerism day on your blog!
Oh my gosh! That is too funny! Good deal, getting the entire display set! I remember Clay wanting patriotic beanie babies or something from McDonald's when he was Tucker's age. Jeff and I ate a LOT of Mickey D's for a while! I even drove to several McD's in one day many times looking for a particular beanie baby.
So, have you picked out your Curious George costume? So funny!
Loving this post!!! :o) When is Tucker's bday? Congrats on getting into a great pre-school!
