What a wonderful day.
We didn't really do anything out of the ordinary (except for meeting a friend for a play date in the morning) and then going shopping for Tucker some new soccer cleats. I was even stressing out then because Macy wasn't in the mood to shop and was making it known. BUT- it's not about what we did, it's actually about how wonderful it was spending time at home today, the really spending time together that made it so special. Life is often so busy that I often don't sit back and enjoy my family. I mean really enjoy what is right in front of me. I wasn't worried about finding things for the kids to do today to keep them busy....
Instead I played with them. I observed them. I really listened to them. And I enjoyed every minute of it.
For once, I wasn't concerned about getting housework done (but somehow the kids and I actually managed to get the house looking pretty darn good- without any drama!), I pushed aside my All Tuckered Out Boutique orders and thoroughly enjoyed my precious babies. And we were in for a special treat when my dad stopped by tonight to help fix something, then he ended up staying for a good hour or two playing video games with his grandboy.
This is what life is all about. I am blessed.
